About the Artist

hi, i'm Lisa

I am an artist based in Alpharetta, Georgia. While I have been known for versatility in color usage, I also gravitate toward the Old Masters hue palette. My work can regularly be seen at the Alpharetta Art Center or at a local art show.

I am a business professional during the day, published author, and a former United States Marine. My eye is always on the next blank canvas.

About my art process

I salvage materials when possible. Repurposing materials like frames and canvases not only gives them a second life but also adds a unique touch to the artwork. The transformation process itself is a journey, and I give thanks to the original artist before using their foundation as my own. This approach not only honors the original creator but also adds depth and meaning to my work.

about my art process

Repurposed canvases are cleaned and prepared with many layers of gesso setting the stage for a beautiful transformation. This meticulous preparation not only enhances the quality of the artwork but also contributes to its uniqueness and durability.
